The communications program at William Woods University emphasizes a broad-based foundation in various types of communication, complemented by a specialization in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, digital film making or speech communications, to ensure that you are well-schooled in
writing, editing and analyzing issues and practices of the field. In addition to foundation and specialized course work, portfolio development and professional preparation play key roles in the communications curriculum, including an annual portfolio review. Students are also encouraged to gain practical experience through internships in all fields of communication as well as WWU's media outlets, which include the student newspaper, Echoes, and
student-run campus radio station, KWWU LP-FM 94.9.
