The graphic design program at the Woods combines creativity with leading-edge technology to prepare you for a career in the graphic design field. Courses in drawing, basic design, photography, color and light service as a foundation for more advanced studies in computer layout and design, digital imaging, electronic publishing and web-design.
Portfolio development and professional preparation also play key roles in the graphic design curriculum. An annual portfolio review culminates with an senior exhibition in the university's art gallery highlighting your artistic development. You will also have the opportunity to work with actual clients during your final semester.
Since success in graphic design is directly related to technology, all graphic design students are required to have a notebook computer. You can receive a BA, BFA or a BS in graphic design from WWU.
