Mr. Kern Presentation

Although he didn’t know it back then, when Alexander Graham Bell uttered the words “Watson I need you” the first wired protocol was born.
Mr. Kern enteratined students with stories and facts that center around the need for digital securities.
Bell laboratories would become one of the leaders in this country of early electronic product development. Funded by the AT&T long distances revenues thru the 80’s until the baby Bell’s were broken up for Anti-trust law violations. However because of Graham Bell the Tele-communications industry was born and so were the first viruses, which then were called pranks. The early day Captain Crunch aka John Draper was a phone phreak who ruled the college campuses on the west coast with his “black box”. A box capable of obtaining free telephone calls until some of his techno buddies turned him in. The movie “Sneakers” Robert Redford and Ben Kingsley plays the part of John Draper. is loosely based on the story of Captain Crunch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sneakers_(film)
