Mandy Beck was a Senior Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing/Advertising. Mandy Beck began an internship with Cookies & Dough in July. Utilizing various business classes, she helped organized a focus group and analyze the group’s comments. From her analysis, she has worked with the owners to implement various suggestions. This first idea involved partnering with the Management Information Systems degree program to revise and redesign the Cookies and Dough website with Stephanie Hall. The other suggestion involved producing a brochure to be used to market the small business in the state capitol.
Students in the Introduction to Computer class identify internal components of the computer during a final exam period.
Nocturnal Exodus was the first student-managed computer business on campus. Students were in charge of developing a business plan to run the business. In addition, they met weekly to work out schedules and work details for running the business. The computer business involved completing student and community request for computer repair, software program development, virus detection and repair and hardware installation.
Students in the Business Division are often required to engage in various community services projects. These experiences not only help the community, but help students tie theory from the classroom into real-world applications.
