Athletic Training Education Program @ The Woods

Athletic TrainingCertified Athletic Trainers: Unique health care providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses.

Definition of Athletic Training (approved by NATA Board of Directors in October, 2007):

The Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at William Woods University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Our ATEP is housed within the Division of Human Performance and offers students a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Athletic Training and options are now available to students in terms of minors and teaching certification. Those students accepted into the Athletic Training Education Program will follow a challenging four-year plan that prepares them to sit for the Board of Certification exam.

The Athletic Training Education Program has a competitive admissions process, with selection based upon meeting the requirements set forth by the program. The admission standards and requirements may be viewed on this web site, or may be provided by ATEP upon request.
