Covers over 2000 journals from 1971-present in accounting, human resources, economics, finance, marketing, international business, management and more, with weekly updates.

Academic Search Elite -- fulltext available

Provides full text for over 2,000 publications, including more than 1,500 peer-reviewed journals. Indexing and abstracts are provided for all 3,505 journals in the collection, which goes back to 1985. Offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and more. 

Accounting Literature -- fulltext available

Full text articles from accounting titles such as Accounting Today, AICPA Accounting and Auditing Publications, AICPA Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Business Strategy, Miller GAAP Guide, Practical Accountant and more.

Describes materials acquired by the National Agriculture Library and cooperating institutions from 1970-present.  Covers over 850 serial titles and other resources relating to all aspects of veterinary medicine, agriculture, forestry, and animal science and is updated monthly.

AltHealthWatch -- fulltext available

focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. Provides full text for articles, from more than 180 international and often peer-reviewed reports, proceedings as well as association and consumer newsletters.

Indexes journals covering international cultural, economic, political & social change.   Covers over 450 alternative, radical and left periodicals, newspapers and magazines from 1991 to present. Updated quarterly.  Alternative Press Index Archives covers same subject areas from 1969-1990 with over 470,000 records.

The definitive index of literature covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. Includes indexing for 1,700 journals from 1964 to present. The database also includes citations and links to book and media reviews.

Art Full Text -- fulltext available
Full text plus abstracts and indexing of an international array of peer-selected publications. In addition to articles, Art Full Text indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals. Includes fulltext back to 1997 and indexing back to 1984.

Article First
Index of articles from the contents pages of over 16,000 journals from 1990 to the present.  Subjects covered include business, science, humanities, social science, medicine, technology, and popular culture. Updated daily.

Arts & Humanities Citation Index

Indexes over 1,100 titles of the world's leading arts and humanities journals and selected articles from social science and science journals from 1980 to present.  Updated weekly.

Biographical Information

Searches documents which contain biographical sources, people-related news sources and selected biographical stories, obituaries and business related stories covering company executives.

Provides detailed life science abstracts written in a nontechnical style for students and interested nonscientists for over 300 sources.  Coverage ranges from 1989 to the present, and updates occur 9 times a year.

Records describe in-print, out-of-print, and forthcoming books, audios, and videos from North American publishers and U.S. distributors and wholesalers. Includes thousands of full-text book reviews from sources including Choice, Kirkus, Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, and School Library Journal. Contains over 4 million records, and is updated weekly.

Business: Research Starters -- fulltext available
Research Starters: Business consist of comprehensive, concise topic summary articles of about 3,000 words in length written by researchers, scholars and other subject matter experts. The articles are designed to be starting points for students, providing topic overviews, definitions of relevant terms, bibliographies, and more.

Business & Industry
Contains important facts, figures and key events for international public and private companies, industries, products, and markets for manufacturing and service industries from 1994 to present.  Covers over 1,500 sources. Updated daily.

Business & Management Practices

Focuses on how organizations make and implement decisions, develop and launch new strategies, and plan for change. Includes case studies and how-to articles from over 1000 sources from 1995 to present.  Updated weekly.   

Covers regional information vital to business from over 500 sources from 1985 to present.  Updated weekly.

An index of organizations and associations that serve business and industry.  Over 40,000 organizations covered, with annual updates.

Business Source Premier -- fulltext available

Business Source Premier provides full text back to 1965 (for some periodicals) and searchable cited references back as far as 1998.  Covers over 3,200 periodicals, with over 2,300 in fulltext.  Covers all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Additional full text, non-journal content includes market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analyses.

CAMIO--Catalog of Museum Images Online

A growing online collection documenting works of art from around the world, representing the collections of prominent museums. CAMIO highlights the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covering the complete range of expressive forms. Contains over 95,000 images.

Clase and Periodica

Index of Latin American journals in the sciences and humanities, covering over 2700 sources from 1975 to the present.  Updated quarterly.

Company Dossier -- fulltext available

Makes it possible to easily compare up to 5 companies and download financial statements, track companies' latest news and PR developments, and a complete picture of a company's structure, financial health, brands and competitors.

Company Profiles

Covers more than 10,000 public and 200,000 private companies. Information comes from Hoover's Company Reports, Disclosure, Standard & Poor's, Worldscope and more.

Contemporary Women's Issues

Indexes books, journals, newsletters, research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies, and fact sheets (over 2200 total sources) and provides access to global information on women in over 150 countries from 1992 to present.  Updated weekly.

Country Profiles

Concise facts and statistics on all countries.  Information comes from the BBC International Monitoring Reports, Country Briefings, Global Insight and more.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) -- fulltext available

Contains peer-reviewed scientific and scholarly journals in a wide variety of subject areas and languages.

Disclosure

Contains information about all public company filings including annual reports, company summary information, and shareholder reports from 1986 to present. Updated weekly, stock trading reports updated daily.

DisCovering Collection

Content based on national curriculum standards in major subject areas such as history, literature, science and social studies for middle and high school students.

Dissertation Abstracts

Selectively covers over 2 million masters theses and dissertations. Coverage ranges from 1861 to present with monthly updates.

Consists of in-depth information from the Encyclopedia of Animals describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals. Designed for elementary school students.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online

Includes the complete Encyclopedia Britannica encyclopedia of 73,000 entries, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, and the Dictionary of Quotations. Includes an Internet directory that includes links to Web sites selected, rated, and reviewed by Britannica editors.

ERIC -- fulltext available

An online digital library of education research and information sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education. Provides access to information from over 600 journals and links to more than 100,000 full-text documents.

Complete full text content from the Facts On File World News Digest since 1940.  Also delivers additional special features including maps, photographs, historic documents, and overviews of key issues, newsmakers and events since 1940.

Film and Television Literature Index

Index to film and television literature that provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 300 publications, and selected coverage of 300 more.

Funk & Wagnall's Encyclopedia

Online full text version of Funk and Wagnall’s New World Encyclopedia.

GPO Monthly Catalog

Covers all types of U.S. government documents from 1976 to the present.  Updated monthly.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition -- fulltext available

Provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines and abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Updated twice a week.

Health Source - Consumer Edition -- fulltext available

Provides access to over 130 full text consumer health periodicals, going back to 1985. Also included in this database is searchable full text for nearly 1,100 health-related pamphlets; 130 health reference books; and 4,500 Clinical Reference Systems reports (in English and Spanish).  Updated weekly.

Historical Abstracts

Covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and more. Provides indexing of more than 1,700 academic historical journals in over 40 languages back to 1955.

Lexis Nexis Academic provides full-text documents from over 6000 news, business, legal, medical, and reference publications with a variety of flexible search options.  Each section has various sub-sections and topics to search.  Individual sections are described and linked below.

News Section

Full text of more than 350 major English-language newspapers from the U.S. and around the world, many same day of publication.  Also covers more than 300 magazines and journals and over 600 newsletters, wire services, campus news, and broadcast transcripts from the major television and radio networks.

Literary Index

Gale's FREE Literary Index is a master index to the major literature products published by Gale. It combines and cross-references over 157,000 author names, including pseudonyms and variant names, and listings for over 210,000 titles into one source.

MAS Fulltext Ultra-School Edition -- fulltext available

Provides full text from more than 500 magazines. Full text is also available for 84,774 biographies and 100,554 primary source documents.    Also includes pamphlets, reference books and images.  Full text goes back to 1975. Designed specifically for high school students.

MasterFile Premier -- fulltext available

Provides full text for over 1750 general periodicals covering a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, consumer health, general science, multi-cultural periodicals and much more. This database features: nearly 500 reference books, 85,827 biographies, 105,789 full text primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 285,000 photos, maps and flags. Coverage dates back to 1975.

MEDLINE

All areas of medicine, including veterinary medicine, psychiatry, nutrition, clinical medicine, dentistry and nursing (corresponds to the print indexes Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing Index).  Over 10,500 sources are covered, some ranging from 1965 to present.  Updated daily.

Military and Government Collection -- fulltext available

Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. Provides full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals. Also includes full text for 245 pamphlets and offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles.

MLA International Bibliography

The MLA International Bibliography is a classified listing and subject index of scholarly books and articles on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics which has been compiled by the Modern Language Association of America since 1921. The electronic version includes indexing from 1963 onwards, and currently contains more than 1.8 million records from over 4,400 periodicals.

NewsBank

Newsbank offers the fulltext for the Kansas City Star (1991-present), St Louis Dispatch (1988-present), Springfield NewsLeader (1999-present), several major national papers, and a variety of magazines.

Newspaper Abstracts

Significant items from over 50 U.S. national and regional newspapers from 1989 to present.  Updated weekly.

Fulltext for 28 national (U.S.) and international newspapers, including USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post, The Times (London), The Toronto Star, and more. The database also contains selected full text for more than 260 regional (U.S.) newspapers

Index of papers presented at conferences worldwide from 1993 to present.  Covers every published congress, symposium, conference, exposition, workshop and meeting received by The British Library Document Supply Centre. Updated twice a month.

Periodical Abstracts

Periodical abstracts from over 2100 general and academic journals from 1986 to present.  Updated weekly.

Physical Education Index

Covers 457 peer-reviewed journals, report literature, conference proceedings, trade magazines, patents, articles from the popular press, and many other publications.  Content ranges from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to coaching. Also includes sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Covers 1970-present and is updated monthly.

Primary Search -- fulltext available

Primary Search, designed specifically for elementary school libraries and public library children's rooms, contains full text for more than 60 popular, elementary school magazines, going back to 1989. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for over 100 student pamphlets. 

ProQuest Psychology Journals -- fulltext available

Full text information from over 630 top psychology and related publications from 1971-present.

PsycArticles -- fulltext available

PsycARTICLES offers searchable full text articles on current issues in psychology, covering general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research in psychology. The database contains more than 120,000 searchable full text articles from 60 journals published by the American Psychological Association and 8 from allied organizations. It contains all journal articles, letters to the editor and errata from each of the journals.  Coverage spans from 1985 to the present.

PsycFirst

Covers over 1700 titles from psychology and related fields in the current and most recent three update years.  Updated weekly.

PsycInfo -- fulltext available

Contains more than two million citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports, all in the field of psychology. Journal coverage 1887 to present, includes international material selected from more than 2,200 periodicals in over 27 languages.  It also includes information about the psychological aspects of related disciplines such as medicine, psychiatry, sociology, education,  business and law.  Updated weekly.

Research Starters are study and research guides designed specifically for advanced high school students, college students and selected graduate students. They consist of comprehensive, yet concise topic summary articles of about 3,000 words in length written by researchers, scholars and other subject matter experts. The articles are designed to be starting points for students, including topic overviews, definitions of relevant terms, and more. 

Roper Center for Opinion Research

Includes sources in opinion polling such as Gallup, Harris, Roper; ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC; Los Angeles Times, New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal. Maintained by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, a non-profit education and research organization in the field of public opinion and public policy.

SIRS Researcher

Contains records for articles selected from over 1500 domestic and international newspapers, magazines, journals, and government publications from 1988 to present.  Updated monthly.

Social Services Abstracts

Provides coverage from 1979 to present of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database abstracts and indexes over 1,300 serials publications and includes abstracts of journal articles and dissertations, and citations to book reviews.  Updated monthly.

SPORTDiscus 

Most comprehensive, bibliographic database covering sport, fitness, exercise and related disciplines. Includes over 650,000 records with journal and monograph coverage going back to 1800, and over 20,000 dissertations and theses.  Updated monthly.

This current events database covers social, political and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today's classrooms. TOPICsearch contains full text for over 105,000 articles from more than 1,600 diverse sources including periodicals, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information.
