This course sequence offers Master of Education in Administration students the opportunity to complete DESE (Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) requirements for initial administrative certification as a Special Education Director.

The courses are taken in conjunction with requirements for the Master of Education – Administration degree program.  There are three courses:  (1) building-level administrative practices and compliance issues; (2) curriculum management and instructional leadership; and, (3) a field-based practicum supervised onsite, targeting behaviors and job responsibilities specific to oversight of special education programs.

The first two courses are eight weeks long and offered online.
