Class Representatives

Dear Class Representative:

Welcome to William Woods University! Thank you for agreeing to be the class representative of your cohort. In order to be a class representative, you must have the minimum of an answering machine on your home telephone, a daytime work number with messaging capability (i.e. voicemail), and an email address (either at home or work) that is checked regularly.

The additional responsibility you have assumed in the role of class representative is greatly appreciated. The class representative role is an extension of the G&AS office in facilitating a number of activities relating to the successful operation of the group. The expectations of the class representative are as follows:

  • In charge of contacting the facilitator of the “next class” to see what is expected of cohort members on the first night of class. This should be done on the 2nd to the last week of the current class so that the information can be reported back to classmates the last night of the current class. G&AS office can be contacted for the facilitator contact information.
  • Timely return (within two weeks of class completion) of the completed Student End-of-Course Surveys. At the end of each class the forms should be filled out, collected and then returned to the Academic Services office AB108. (You are provided postage paid return envelopes for this.)
  • To be the “contact person” who distributes information to cohort members from WWU/G&AS and vise versa. (Ex. Inclement weather/class cancellations, classroom issues, any type of questions or concerns in general.)
  • Timely dissemination of the information provided by the G&AS office (revised class lists, location change, announcements, syllabi etc.).
  • Timely notification to the G&AS office of problems affecting the cohort, class, facilitator, announcements etc.

There are several forms that you may need additional copies of in the future. You will find the study group logs, end of course surveys, change of information forms etc. at: Document & Forms

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to be of assistance.

Sincerely,

Diane Abbott
