Justin Koch Recognized as All-American Athlete
(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., May 6)--The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) recently awarded Justin Koch, from William Woods University, with its annual All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award - recognizing the student athletes dedication to strength training and conditioning.
This year, the NSCA awarded 239 collegiate athletes from 165 schools with this esteemed award. Koch was selected by the strength coach Robert Jones, CSCS, who said, "Justin continues the tradition of hard workers on the WWU baseball team; joining two other baseball players to earn this award in the six years. He has been a key in raising the standard of effort for a team that already had a very high standard. Each year Justin has demonstrated great dedication and work ethic. Each year Justin has improved and challenged his teammates to do the same. He is a great leader for the hardest working team at WWU. He is a pleasure to coach and mentor."
Robert Jursnick, NSCA's Executive Director adds, "The advantages of strength training and conditioning cannot be denied in collegiate athletics. These student-athletes attest to this understanding, and are to be applauded for their hard work and dedication."
The NSCA All-American Athlete of the Year Award program is in its 29th year, and is made possible by a grant from Power Systems, Inc., a Knoxville, Tennessee fitness product leader.
