My teammates and I live up to servant leadership daily. Every morning we put the team first when we sacrifice our sleep, getting up at 5:40am or earlier to work out. Working out with everyone else on the team, you don't want to be the weakest link and let the team down, so you sacrifice pain and sweat for the good of the team.

Many of us have volunteered time our time at the YMCA, Big Brother, Habitat for Humanity, Preferred Hospice and various other forms of volunteer work. This year, we plan to go to retirement homes and befriend people there who just need someone to talk to.

Another thing we plan to do is go to an elementary school and help children with their homework or just play some basketball with them. Volunteering shows the whole community that we don't just care about basketball, we want to make a difference.
