2010 NAIA National Championships

The William Woods University women's basketball team will play Trevecca Nazarene University in the first round of the 2010 NAIA Women's Division I National Championships. The Owls and Trojans will play at 8:30 am in Jackson, Tenn., on March 17.

 

#19 TNU enters the tournament 21-10 on the season. The Trojans finished in a three-way tie for second place in the TranSouth Athletic Conference. This marks the 11th appearance for TNU in the National Championships.

 

The Owls are 29-2 on the season, and were ranked 15th in the final NAIA Women's Division I Basketball Top 25 poll. William Woods split a share of the regular season American Midwest Conference championship with Columbia College and McKendree University. The Owls won their second consecutive AMC postseason tournament championship with a 66-56 win over Columbia on March 8. This marks the 3rd appearance for WWU in the National Championships.
