Prior to Culver-Stockton, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas, and one season in the same capacity at the University of Central Missouri.

"Dan Chapla brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the women's basketball position at William Woods University,” said William Woods University Athletics Director Larry York.  “We look forward to working with Coach Chapla as he continues our tradition of developing independent and competitive young women while playing a hard-nosed and exciting brand of basketball."
