Junior Ceanne Kressig (Salisbury, Mo.) won the individual championship with steady rounds of 81-81 for a two-day total of 162.  "Ceanne played very well, despite the difficult conditions", said Owls' Head Golf Coach Barry Doty following play. "She continues to improve and has added nearly 30 yards in the past two years", added Doty.

Junior Char Cruchelow (Waukee, Ia.) and senior Megan Bornhauser finished  in a tie for third place with 175 totals. Sophomore Amanda Purcell (Droitwich, England) was fourth with a 176.  Senior Whitney Guin (Springfield, Mo.) rounded out the scoring for the Owls with a 178.

Doty added, "I was pleased with our poise today.  The front nine at Indian Foothills is under-repair and we shot some of our highest nine hole scores ever but we kept our composure and played solid on the back. Most players bettered their front nine scores by more than ten shots on the back."

Next up for the Owls is the Millikin Invitational at Red Tail Run Golf Club in Decatur, Illinois on September 29th-30th.
