Financial Aid

Financial assistance is a topic that seems confusing and even a little intimidating. But don’t worry…here’s what you need to know.

  • Each year at William Woods students receive financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships, or campus employment.

  • With financial assistance, the cost of attending William Woods may be less than what you’d pay to go to a state university.

  • William Woods is a great value. We ensure average class sizes of 15 students.

  • WWU awards scholarships on the basis of academic merit, leadership qualities, athletic success, and campus involvement.

  • We’re here to help. Our Office of Student Financial Services staff will answer your questions and address your concerns. Call us weekdays between 8:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. or contact us anytime via e-mail.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

  1. You must be accepted for enrollment to the university before a formal offer of financial assistance can be made.
  2. Submit all 2009-10 scholarship materials to the Office of Admissions.
  3. Complete the 2009-10 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Jan. 1, 2010.  These forms can be obtained from your high school guidance office, our Office of Admissions, or completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
  • If you have any questions or need assistance in completing the paperwork for scholarships, please call or e-mail your admissions representative or e-mail admissions at admissions@williamwoods.edu. You can find your admissions representative at the link: Find your Admisions Representative.
  • If you need information regarding the FAFSA or to speak with the Financial Aid office, please call 573.592.4232.
